You have an opportunity, individually or through your faith-based group, to make a difference in the life of a child—right here in the upstate! Each day we see appeals to sponsor a child in other countries. That’s important, but what about the children right here in the upstate? Why not sponsor a child in YOUR community so that the family can get the services they need to make a difference in the child’s life, perhaps even save a child’s life. We have to break the cycle of abuse! WE must reach out to make changes and save children from abuse and neglect—YOU can help change their destiny and help break the cycle of child abuse! Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina upstate affiliates are nonprofit organizations dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in all its forms. We are affiliated with a thriving Prevention Network: Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina, its affiliates, and the thousands of volunteers and community businesses who make our achievements possible.
Effective child abuse prevention must be woven into the fabric of our communities—into the structure of our schools, hospitals, communities of faith, places of work, and our childcare facilities. Our affiliates are leading the effort to prevent abuse before it happens by developing family-oriented, community-based prevention, awareness, education and training programs.
